Aiden's frist hair cut

Last week we finally decided to nix the incoming mullet look that Aiden was beginning to sport.
I was holding Aiden as Rick was cutting his hair & I'm shrieking "You're cutting all the red out!!!"

If it were even possible, he looks even more like a Davis now. What a cutie.

Grandpa Dan

So, we got this killer package from Daniel the other day in the mail.
Some of you know that he is over in Afghanistan for a year, he was privately contracted out by the Army to help build a hospital. We are so very proud of him & miss him to bits.

The kids loved their gifts, Trevor got a handmade scarf that the men commonly wear over there & Olivia got a handmade doll (w/ burqa) & a beaded necklace. He also sent along a note for each of the kids & some pics of him holding/wearing their gifts in front of these ginor-mo trucks, pretty dang cool.

Baby shower

My friend, Jenny, from nursing school had a baby shower over here in Boise this last weekend so Olivia & I got to go. She looks so dang cute! It was kind of funny because the last time I saw her I was the one who was 9 months pregnant with Aiden.
It was great to be able to see her again & catch up a little bit. Good luck over the next 6 weeks Jenny!

Love my boys!

Man, I sure do love these two crazy guys. What handsome fellas, too. Between the two of them there's never a dull moment, they always make us smile. Trevor is the best big brother ever.

Just look at those gorgeous blue eyes, no mischief there...

...and I love my little red-headed son. (Thanks, Mom)

Gardens make me happy

With a new puppy this year (she already destroyed all my new strawberry plants) I didn't even bother trying to plant a garden out back (it's killing me).

To cope I've been planting petunias like mad. I've always loved this beautiful little flower....and the name just makes me smile for certain dorky reasons.

4th of July-ness

We did the 4th with Rick's family again this year at the same place in Meridian (next to Boise) that we watched the fireworks last year. The weather was great, only mid 80's & the kids and grown-ups alike had a blast, yummy BBQ & games for everyone.

Sorry about the lack of pics, guess we were too busy having fun.

Our backyard

Man I love looking out our back windows. So many beautiful views all through the year. Makes me smile every time, sometimes I just stand there for a minute to soak it all in.
