Toothless Aiden

Aiden was out shopping with his aunt & Grandma yesterday & tripped on the shopping cart & knocked out his top left front tooth. A few hours and 2 emergency trips to the dentist later it had to be pulled, it had a vertical fracture clear into the root. Dad was able to get off work early & stay with Trevor & Olivia while Mom had to take him back to the dentist after the last appointment was gone. He was a total trooper & let me hold him down, albeit screaming the whole time. It ended up splintering into 3 pieces & afterwards the dentist said it was the toughest extraction he's had to do like that. He told me that I was a brave mom, I responded that no, I was just mean. Good thing we have the best flippin' pediatric dentist office, ever.

We love you Aiden!

Assessing the damage on the way to the dentist....

Their entire waiting room is a giant pirate ship & pirate cove...

In honor of Halloween we stumbled in on Despicable Me day....it was playing on all the tv's, decorated all over the office, Dr. Whitt was Gru & all his office staff & assistants were his minions. Totally awesome!

Poor little guy completely conked out on the way home...

They put all the pieces of his tooth in this little treasure box for him to put under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy. How cute is that?

A NiGhT aT tHe PuMpKin pAtCh

We decided to splurge & went to the local pumpkin patch-a-palooza last Friday night, and OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The, um, *ahem* "kids" had a blast....I want to live there for the entire month of October from here on. The place is called the Farmstead Festival (go ahead & check it out, I dare you not to be totally jealous), & it's the same spot I've gone with Trevor & Olivia for their field trips the past few years.

Two words: Wicked. Awesome.

The rockin' awesome rocking chair...

Nasty cancer-infected-looking moldy pumpkin, which of course, the kids just loved.

Who doesn't love a giant jumping pillow?

Tire swings with attitude

Eeeeeek! The corn pit! Total fav & WAY easier to get out of clothes & diapers than sand.

Spider web

They have this hay-bale maze for the kiddies

Trev

Livvy's turn

We weren't brave enough to try the full maze, it's a couple acres....way too much to get lost in....in the dark....without flashlights (yeah, I know, way to plan).

Soooo.... it's a good thing we had our trusty glow-in-the dark bracelets & super-dee-duper SWORDS!!!!

My little blonde ninja-samurai princess

It was so adorable, Trev was super excited to buy his own cotton candy & then they were just mesmerized watching it.

Much yummy goodness to be had all around: cotton candy, fresh mini donuts, and.....

....FUNNEL CAKE! Oh my yumminess.....Mmmmm.

Oh to be young & burn 1,600 calories in a single evening. As we were walking out they actually told me "Mom, we're tired, can we go home & go to bed?"

Mission: successful

Gettin' our spook on

The kids wanted to make ghosts & bats to hang from the ceiling, I think they turned out awesome, our house sure is spooky now.... & only 1 got caught in the ceiling fan.

I just love this tree in the front yard, it keeps changing as the months go on & it's just gorgeous and great for the kids to climb.
