The BiRtHdAy GiRl....Olivia turns SIX!!!

Our little Livvy turned 6 today. She was totally elated for the entire day, from the moment I woke her up for school & she asked me if I'd gotten the cupcakes for her class during the middle of the night. Rick & I work the weekends surrounding her B-day so unfortunately we weren't able to do the big family shindig but Aunt Crista & Grandma & Papa Davis were able to come over for pizza, cake & ice cream with the presents.

She had an awesome day, and that's all that matters to us. We sure love you Sweetheart!

She's been dreaming up this cake for about 2 months now & every time she talked about it, it would get more & more elaborate. This is the final result: 2 layer chocolate fudge cake with pink cream cheese frosting, sliced strawberries around the edge, & a flower-sprinkle carpet for Rapunzel. (that's my little girl!)

She absolutely made my day when she looked at it after I'd finished & she told me with an excited *sigh* "It's exactly how I imagined it!"

She's somehow kind of a soda nut, a few weeks ago she decided that Sprite was her favorite so I got her this wicked cool glass bottle to go with her pizza....turns out it's all in Spanish & from Mexico!

The boys were SO excited that she also now has a Superman tee. As Trevor said with utmost seriousness, "Now everyone in the family has one!"

I love the look on her face in this one, I think she knew what was in the bag...

Woohoo! Our new favorite Disney fairytale! In case you hadn't noticed, it was a "Tangled"/Rapunzel party. She already has Rapunzel stuff all over the place, including the top she has on, courtesy of our good buddies the Caywoods.

Sportin' the Cyndi Lauper look...

Aunt Crista made her matching aprons for her & her doll. She was so stoaked to help cook.

"Tangled" sheets...

Just look at this gorgeous hand-beaded purse from the wonderful Afghani women that Daniel has the pleasure to meet while he is over there. I already told her that she won't be using that for at least another 10 years.

Thanks Grandma & Papa Davis! She keeps telling us how lacking her male Barbie population is.

Wall art

It spans 3 walls, a door & his crib....he was literally only alone for 60 seconds upstairs, Olivia & I were right on his heels. We still don't even know where he found the crayon, but the kid must've grabbed it & ran as he went. Thank heavens for Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Rick made him help clean it up...he thought that was fun, too.

Stinker.

Davis & Davis at the zoo

Took a quick trip/picnic at the zoo with Anne & the kids a few weeks back during spring break. We decided that we picked the busiest day of the year to go but as usual the kids had a blast. Gotta admit, the warmer weather & sunshine is kind of nice, opens up a lot more options for the kids to play.

Trevor & Olivia start Taekwondo

We finally signed Trevor & Olivia up for Taekwondo this week. To say they were excited is like saying they think Christmas is "Meh, ok". We've been thinking about it for about a year now so they were beyond stoaked. I've never seen Trevor so focused on something for so long & Olivia was just eating it up.

They're very proud of their new uniforms.
