Moving humor

I was at WalMart the other day & saw this shirt...I just had to get it for Rick. It's hilarious & totally appropriate for us right now.
School starts tomorrow...sigh.
P.S. Summer honey-do list update:
1. We've enforced our front steps w/ concrete & painted them, the redwood trim goes up tomorrw (hopefully)
2. The bathroom now is 98% done: the new light fixture & mirror are up (only baseboards left)
3. Thanks to our good friend, Marshall, we now having working outlets inside & outside the garage.
4. The entire outside of the house is ready to be painted (yuck-city)
5. Rick is almost done w/ re-painting all the windowsills outside (we'll do the inside ones once we're out of the house)
6. We started moving some little stuff yesterday & will continue all week until the big move this weekend.

SOLD! (in 9 days)

We did it! I don't think we actually tought it was going to happen this quickly, but we sold our house.
I know, you're all thinking "What?!?"
Months ago we decided that if we sold our home we could works less these next few semesters until we graduate & see the kids more.
So we've been working on it all summer & even though we aren't quite done w/ the repiars we figured we'd just stick a sign in our yard & put it in the paper. Well, we got a few calls & the first people who looked at it made an offer & now we're in escrow. Yippee!
So this is our yard sale last weekend, even w/ the threat of rain we did pretty goood.
It's kind of sad to think of us moving but we're excited about what this move means for our family.

America, the brave

Today Pocatello brought its second soldier home from the war.
150 motorcycles lead the mile-long motorcade. The entire way from the airport to the funeral home people stopped what they were doing, came out to line the street and wave their flags to honor our fallen soldier.
Too bad that they all can't get this kind of a welcome.
God Bless Sgt. Blake Stephens & Sgt. Nick Gumersall.
I love America. I love my freedom.
I love those men & women who put their lives in jeopardy every day to ensure that I keep my freedom & to help bring that freedom to others.
