Zoo trip, sleepovers, picnics, & games

We've had a great weekend with pretty much most of Rick's family.
We went to the zoo Friday afternoon with Chuck & his family, then their 3 oldest (Julia's still too young) came back to spend the night at our place.
Today, most of the rest of the Davis' met at our place & we had a picnic in the park (it was supposed to be 62' & sunny... instead it was 53' & raining) & then spent the rest of the day playing games & hanging out at our place.
Ooooh, we also got to see Dennis & Evlyn's new house, they close escrow on the 27th of April.
All in all, a great weekend.

Swimming lessons!

Olivia has been asking us for swimming lessons for nearly a year now.
Trevor is a total fearless spaz in the pool.
We figured it was time, yesterday was their first day of swimming lessons & they are LOVING it.

They split the kids into 2 groups, one they take into the deep end w/ life vests on & work on floating, kicking, etc.

They even put them in a life raft & then capsize it.... that was Trevor's favorite part.

The other group they keep in the shallow end working on floating on their backs, kicking, etc.

Fun stuff all around. Too bad it happens when I'm at work but Rick is an awesome Dad & loves to take them.

We miss all you guys

You know who you are.
Yes, we're liking it here & maybe even finally getting settled in.
But... we miss all our old friends. All you crazy people that we shared so much of our lives with.
We miss the BBQ's, football & b-ball games, ward potlucks, Holiday stuff, donuts, B-day parties, Super Bowl parties, Harry Potter parties, camping, watching our kids get bigger, game nights, Girl's night, Halo night, etc.

Just thought you should know.

Fun times.....

This past Friday night all of us Davis "grown ups" went out to dinner to celebrate Dennis & Evlyn's (Rick's parents) anniversary. The kids & I spent the night at Jaime's new house (sooo cute) & Rick came out that next morning. We took all the kids to the park to burn off some energy & as always, they had a ball.

Sorry about the lack of posting & pictures lately.... been a tad bit busy.
Everyone keeps asking for pictures of the house so I went around with my camera before church. You won't however, see any of the living room (clean w/ boxes of DVD's in the corner) , garage (still working on it), or master bedroom (Rick was sleeping off his headache).

So, guess those areas will wait for later.
