Sadly we weren't able to have the girls here for Ryan's big day this year, but we've got some upcoming trips planned (heads-up Utah & Montpelier family...lol) to spend some extra time with them. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN, we love you!!!

German Chocolate Cake curse....bRoKeN!!!

I don't know what it is... I'm a good cook, I can follow recipes, I can bake like a team of angels but for some reason I just can't make a German Chocolate Cake to save my life. So of course, it's Ryan's favorite. Maybe it's because I'm not German, I truly don't know. But for some reason they always turn into an EPIC failure...they fall, are dry, burnt, disgusting frosting...you name it. I've tried everything from box mixes to arduous made-from-scratch recipes....FLOP! Until....THIS year! Woohooo! Thanks to the recipe from our friend Tanna, I have finally broken the curse!
