Samurai Jack
Silly me: What're you doing?
Ryan: Cutting up the watermelon.
Silly me: With your sword? Do you need that?
Ryan: (just looks at me) Yeah. Of course! (walks away grinning...much laughter ensues)
Any excuse to use his samurai swords.....for Ryan or the "kids".

4th of July 2012
This year we went over to our friends, the Rex's, and joined them in their 4th of July block party. Sooo much good food, the kids had a blast & didn't have to worry about being scared by the big loud fireworks. Thanks guys!
...unfortunately our only "picture" of Brynnah...she insisted in watching the show with one of her little friends in their van.

Indian Summer
Here in Boise we've been enjoying a bit of a late Indian Summer, the kids have been loving it with extra walks to the park after dinner, jumping on the tramp, climbing trees, & making good use of our fire pit with s'mores & banana boats.

As much as I love the fall I've been enjoying our late summer this year and that my pretty flowers are still keeping me company on my front porch.

Just another day at the beach
You know how you're always wishing for more time, another day in the week? Well, I got my wish. My boss gave me Friday off so we've spent the last 2 days doing all sorts of fun silly things with our kids & just relaxing. We went to Cabelas & watched them feed the bass, we went to eat @ this great old drive in with like 30 flavors of shakes, & then yesterday.....
We went to the beach yesterday with Chuck & Anne's family, we all had such a blast. After wearing ourselves out we replenished our strength with frozen-custard "muds" (shakes) at the famous Donnie Mac's, it was featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives". Then it was back to their house for more swimming, pizza, & a movie.

Hot August Nights Luau!
Erin's work sponsored our first annual Hot August Night's Laua/benefit for the local Boise Women & Children's refuge.
We had hula dancers, a roasted pig, concessions, the works. Including, these awesome cars...
This one was voted Best of Show:
But THIS is the bad boy that stole my heart. *sigh*
