Summer trip to Grandma & Grandpa Nordstrom's

We had a quick trip home for a few nights when we were in California back in June for Seth's wedding. As always, it was fabulous to be home & show Ryan around a bit.... even better getting to see all the people I love, both family & friends. Thanks to everyone who made us feel so loved! I miss you all.

Trevor taking over Grandpa's hammock...for a few minutes at least.

The kids were THRILLED to find all these little tree frogs at the back of the house.

Grandma gave them a bunch of pipe cleaners for an art project...they kept them busy the entire drive back to  Idaho & we're still finding them all over the house. Who knew?

Chillin with Grandpa Dan. It was so awesome to see him while he was home from Afghanistan.

Going on a walk with Grandma.

Bob & Penny Hart's coy pond. I was sooo excited to show it to Ryan, I just love their back yard & have so many memories at their house. The kids had a blast helping feed their fish & could've happily just stayed there.

I love this pic. Just walkin' with Ryan & Superman.

Hellooooo Miami!!!

For those of you who don't know, my sister Laura's husband (Matthew Neil) has been the starting pitcher for the BYU baseball team for the past few seasons. This season he has had quite a few MLB scouts coming to his games, this past week was the draft and...........
he got drafted by the Florida Marlins!

Congratulations you two for all your hard work! They have one week to pack up & report to Florida for training camp. Way to go Matthew!

Aunt Heather goes to college

Heather started her first semester at BYU- Idaho a few weeks ago so that means that we were lucky enough to see her & Grandma Nordstrom for a few nights! Woohoo!

We had such a blast, playing, getting spoiled, eating sticky buns, & just catching up on lost time.

Grandpa Dan

So, we got this killer package from Daniel the other day in the mail.
Some of you know that he is over in Afghanistan for a year, he was privately contracted out by the Army to help build a hospital. We are so very proud of him & miss him to bits.

The kids loved their gifts, Trevor got a handmade scarf that the men commonly wear over there & Olivia got a handmade doll (w/ burqa) & a beaded necklace. He also sent along a note for each of the kids & some pics of him holding/wearing their gifts in front of these ginor-mo trucks, pretty dang cool.

Olivia's Birthday hootenanny:

(it's a sandy beach....use your imagination ok? At least it tasted yummy.)
Sebastian & Ariel's seashells went AWOL, had to improvise with frosting.

Our little pixie, isn't she beautiful?
Wearing Ariel & playing with Ariel (today) ...on her actual B-day.
This card is from Grandma & Papa Davis....it sings a princess song. She's been listening to it ALL DAY. Right here she's singing along... I tell her "You're awesome Olivia." Her response?
"Thanks."

B-day BBQ bash yesterday:

These two just crack me up, they were just standing there screaming as the kids all played.
Uncle Tanner & Aunt Kenz chillin' with Aiden.
Wonderful Uncle Tanner apparently took Livvy for ColdStone 1 hr before her party...so he got to be the one to make sure she ate her hot dog. (eye roll)
Whole lotta Davis cousins & a whole lotta fun!
Olivia picked out a tutu just like this (except pink, of course) to send to Brynnah in the hospital...& in the process totally securing one for herself for her birthday. We sure love you, Sweetheart.
"Rosetta" the red-haired pixie from the Tinkerbell movie...thanks Davis-cousins.
Ariel!!!! (thank you Uncle Tanner & Aunt MacKenzie...eeek!)
Really Tanner?!? What WERE you thinking?
Our kids all LOVE pickles... Grandma Davis thinks it's hilarious. Olivia was totally stoaked to have very her own jar. :)
"Yeah...time for cake!!!"
Brandon wanted to make sure the Stowe-cousin present got fair representation.
...the singing card.

Patrick! (he said he was just practicing for Aiden's B-day in a few weeks....uh-huh)
Our little Sweetheart. Happy Birthday, baby girl.
